Burlington County Prison, NJ

The Burlington County Prison Museum in Mount Holly, New Jersey, is rumored to be one of the most haunted places in the country.  It was originally opened in 1811 and designed by Robert Mills. At the time, Mills was an unknown architect, but he would quickly gain fame by designing the US Treasury Building. He later followed that up with the US Patent Office, the Washington Monument, the National Monument, and  even the US Post Office. was turned into a popular museum in Mount Holly.

The Prison had its own gallows located in the prison yard where public executions took place. One of those executions was a man by the name of Joel Clough, who is rumored to be the ghost that haunts this building. Clough had killed a woman who left him for another man. He tried to escape once, but after he was captured the warden imprisoned him in the Death Cell, a maximum security cell on the top floor. He was often chained to the floor completely naked, and left to wallow there as punishment for his crimes.

Inmates murdered innocent bystanders on two occasions during the Prison's history. Inmates attempting to escape killed a trustee, and another group of inmates escaping murdered a security guard. Oddly enough both deaths occurred near the kitchen on a lower level.

For over a century the Prison continued to house prisoners, including the infamous Boston Strangler, Albert DeSalvo. He served his term at the Prison, and later embarked on a startling killing spree. The Prison was the oldest operating one in the country when it was finally closed in 1965.
Evidence:

One of our investigators, Lynn accompanied another investigator on the main floor of the building.  While silently walking around taking pictures, she captured an EVP.  It appears to be something saying "Get Out...!"

Chris and Cathy (Investigators) are in the basement, when you will hear Chris say "Watch the water" after a few steps forward and 8 seconds into recording, a whispery female voice responds with "there's a lot of water  here...!", then chris states she can smell perfume. The smell of perfume or flowers can be sign of spirit activity. All of our investigators refrain from wearing perfumes or aftershaves during investigations.

Lynn and another investigator are in the basement. You will hear the electronic zoom of jenns camera followed by Jenn saying "going to snap and few pictrues" you will then hear a very creepy "Hi"  this heard by both investigators at the time.

Lynn and another investigator were again investigating and this time they were upstairs on second floor.  We can hear a noise. Sounds like a male exhaling. At the end of the recording you can hear the investigators trying to figure out were sound came from.
